ORIENTATION
PRODUCTION SKILLS:
Our new Studio A class will take you through the basics of set design, lighting design camera operation, audio operation, video direction, and graphics. This custom class will will focus on YOUR show concept and develop it into a full-fledged production. All you have to do is come up with an idea, get a crew together and schedule times with the instructor.

This class will show you the basics of moving things around our high-speed network, using EditShare to get content to and from the Studio A production server. At the end of the class all participants will receive an EditShare account and know how to use it. This 1-session 90-minute class is highly recommended for new and experienced producers.

Learn basic camera, audio, and lighting techniques, using the new equipment in Studio A. Three sessions will give you plenty of hands-on time to test your newly-acquired skills and gain the confidence to produce or crew in Studio A.

This 2-session class will introduce you to LTC's new Sony NX5U cameras and teach you everything you need to know to begin recording your program in the field. Students will shoot a 2-5 minute short video which can then be edited at the end of the Final Cut Basics class.

This 1-session class is for current certified producers who want to switch to our new Sony NX5U camera. You'll learn the differences between the old and new cameras and how to use and care for the NX5U. You'll also learn how to move from a tape-based to a tapeless file-based workflow.

EDITING/POST-PRODUCTION:
This 1-session class will get you jump-started so you can edit your project.
Date & Time: 1st Tuesday each month-6:00-9:00 PM (April 2, May 7, June 4)

This 6-session class will cover basic editing with Final Cut Pro. You will work with video material supplied by the instructor, then edit your own 2–5 minute short video.

This 6-session class will cover intermediate editing with Final Cut Pro. You will work individually with video material supplied by the instructor then create a 2–5 minute short video using your new Final Cut Skills.

This is a 6-session practical project led by the instructor. Each student will edit a 5-minute segment to air on LTC Prerequisites: Final Cut Basics & Field Camera.

Except for the first Tuesday of the month when he is offering Final Cut Essentials, instructor Peter Tsaklis is available in the lab every Tuesday from 5:30 to 9:00 PM to answer your Final Cut questions and help you out with your Final Cut project.
There is no fee for this service to our members and students.

You've added to your Final Cut skills set in the Intermediate class. Take it to the next level with Final Cut Advanced and show you can edit like a pro in your final project.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
This 1-session class is for those with little or no computer experience, starting from the basics– “Where do I turn this thing on?”--to a level where you'll be comfortable in a class that uses the MAC.

Setting up a blogging website is easier than ever, but confusing if you've never done it. If you've really wanted to blog on a topic, or even use WordPress for a website for a small business or organization, this course will give you a foundation in the terminology of WordPress, how to set up a free blog or host your own, how to find, choose, and install a template, and also tips and tricks on getting started, how to gather an audience, and how to approach blog writing. You will also be given a temporary domain name to experiment with during class.
