A Message from Executive Director Wendy Blom to LTC Members and Friends

I am stepping down from the leadership of LTC after the Annual Meeting on November 19, 2020. I have loved every minute of serving Lowell at LTC but after five years at the helm, I know it is time for me to enjoy a slower pace and new pursuits. I have met such amazing people in Lowell and will miss the excitement of being so engaged in many areas of the City’s life. However, I believe that it will be good for LTC to gain a fresh perspective with new leadership. I hope to be able to smooth the transition by overlapping time with the new director.  The staff are a talented and committed group of professionals who will continue to provide their services to Lowell.

LTC is in a strong position to tackle the new realities of the communication field. Our relationship with the City government, agencies, and nonprofits in the City is very strong. We have continuously upgraded our technology to adapt to the growing importance of social media, on-line viewing, and the sudden need for remote productions during the pandemic. LTC member producers are dedicated to communicating with their viewers in multiple languages and have found ways to produce and send in programs during the pandemic. The organization is on a sound financial footing and the LTC Board of Directors has committed members who are up to the task of finding and inspiring a new director.

For all those reasons LTC is in good shape to enter a new era of leadership. Please spread the word about LTC’s Executive Director search for an accomplished and visionary leader. The job description and application instructions are posted here:
