Equipment & Facility

LTC is located in a historic, textile mill complex in downtown Lowell. Our facility and equipment are available, free of charge, to our members on a first-come, first-serve basis. Affordable rates for most resources are also available for non-members looking to rent for personal or professional projects.

This facility includes:

An open computer lab (no reservation needed)
Computer classroom
Conference room
Art Gallery/open meeting space with built in projector and sound system
Smaller host operated studio
State of the art, professional workflow television studio
Two private post-production areas (video editing, sound recording and editing, graphic creation, 3D animation, and much more)
Cable distribution and programming systems

LTC members have access to mini-DV video cameras and HD tapeless video cameras and digital workstations equipped with iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and other creative software to help you with video editing, photo editing, 3D animation, web publishing, and much more. Camera types include Canon XH A1, Canon GL-2, and Sony NX5U. Field equipment like microphones, lighting kits, tripods and accessories are also available.

Equipment Availability

In order to reserve or take out portable equipment at LTC you must be an active member with certification. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and must have an approved Project Application on file. Each approved project is granted a limited budget, and equipment can be reserved for up to 30 days prior to use.
